I love this! And to share - just today I had an introductory meeting with a hypnotherapist. I had dithered about whether I should go and see him since I'm not in a position to pay for a course of therapy, but I decided to go anyway. After the meeting he asked what areas I would like to work on and I explained about my situation - upshot, he's going to give me therapy for free if I'll be a case study for him!! Result! So today I'm grateful for my courage in going to see him and for therapists who recognise a challenge when they see one!

It's funny how clearly I remember answering that question over 30 years ago. We were at McDonalds.....me and my three children. My oldest, David, asked that very question.....why wasn't it a sad occasion.....when our Lord died on the cross.....how we could call it Good Friday ! I don't remember what was said that turned out to be a four way discussion.....what I do remember is.....a man who on his way out.....stopped by our table and with what looked like tears in his eyes.....said that he'd never heard such a touching and profoud talk before this time......and I was really surprised and moved. It just goes to show.......it's an important question.......with lots of real and profound answers !

I have a challenge for which I've been seeking the answer for a very long time. I've now given up that scearch and accept that I may never know the answer.......and.....as unlikely as it seems.....will trust that my almighty God has the answer......and will hold out in faith in His Word, that this challenge will bring only " Good " into my life. This is just.....the way it is !

Yes......being a loving and gracious reciever is every bit as important as giving. I think sometimes we forget that, and occasionally need to be reminded.A good post !

I was lucky to be able to take the opportunity to work a compacted week, ie full time hours in 4 longer days. I chose to take Mondays as my nominated day off and even after 6 years I still wake up on Monday and think to myself 'thank god it's monday'! Even better, I and less fatigued and more focused for rest of the week and it also limits my ability to overwork and therefore I get a healthier work life balance. If your boss will allow it, I would recommend it. Love and light. Dx

I had the option To work a compacted week, ie my full time hours compressed into just 4 longer days. I chose to take every Monday off and even after 6 years, I still wake up each Monday saying 'thank gods it's Monday'. I'd recommend this to anyone who can get there boss to agree. What's more, the 4 days at work I am less fatigued and more focused and it limits my ability to overwork therefore maintaining a good work/life balance. Now ain't that grand!!!

We all have ugly trees in our lives......this reminds me to reconsider......take a longer, harder look at those trees in order to find the hidden beauty in them. I think maybe that the hurry.....the rush in our days are what keeps us from deeper consideration of those trees. Thank you for this timely reminder to.....take a second look !
